A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9407_48907561353_o untitled_panorama3_20090215171_o colas-frontera-diciembre04_12348633105_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar35_10382626013_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival12_14277718729_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_9419_42112021300_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival58_14981743848_o img_5219_34284273242_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24378116892_o 7u3a9392_49597579526_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24460200566_o img_0704_21597161645_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-29_29360135941_o img_9988_20846928073_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742372693_o 2g9a0605_26851605935_o jebel-sahara-1-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-a-la-embajadora-del-reino-unido-en-marruecos_23091556746_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-10_9224812532_o img_9775_21281337969_o strongmen-201371_10018937715_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876333231_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-30 P1080594 dav dscf7781_44550419062_o 08-may-2017-25visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895390984_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-46_31992468012_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-49_31992467502_o img_0530_36311271882_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-22_34309886052_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-30_29495047132_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799757576_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834006765_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221937214_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417187705_o 2g9a9449_27596409020_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17504918655_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250763670_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431270372_o img_9064_24481611945_o img_3008_21597249939_o img_7818_20675856754_o a-exalcaldesa-de-la-lnea-de-la-concepcin-gemma-araujo-psoe-saluda-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabian-picardo_21423551375_o Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar.
