A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_9359_28984554597_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar10_10382483275_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival06_14441411796_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival41_15168380615_o 7u3a9427_49597828562_o 2014-RAF-Squadrons-III 2g9a0343_48801281571_o 2g9a3003_49094442191_o strongman-en-casemates_9997776303_o 7u3a9649_49900297808_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-34 2g9a6824_48204069131_o 2g9a5333_48725846428_o img_5315_48919808782_o img_5373_48919072188_o img_1688_36166373184_o img_0741_38822718450_o img_9041_38333253392_o_38310544116_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-16_31331051943_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-37_31562033261_o 2g9a9159_29519593734_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-60_30661177160_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-10_30962849125_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239725_o 2g9a7330_29750651211_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-15 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-4_25631995063_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-21_24823159272_o a-dsc_0230_19249109008_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5868_19410439296_o 2g9a9347_27262518813_o 2g9a0155_26856598152_o img_9126_26467718552_o img_5982_25910379641_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-16_9292088092_o img_2958_21758060736_o 2015_09_14__0142_20801183844_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-84_21289984542_o img_4357_20530705502_o Revista-de-tropas-del-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-30
