A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños default 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23005985674_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551764931_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_0339_45202116835_o festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar-25102014-30_15607269356_o img_8836_19518880384_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576708260_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-72_28815965744_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-18_40133899952_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-17_13967065239_o jebel-sahara-5-el-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar-apunta-un-arma_22494994564_o strongmen-201319_10019235074_o img_9633_20840571544_o 2g9a2583_49086447351_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-14 P1080708 Punta-Europa-24 2g9a5360_48726351407_o img_8655_26036946918_o 2g9a5965_48204653302_o img_7172_34614619822_o img_4631_48714310422_o img_9539_35393043013_o national-day-panorama1_48713810828_o img_0557_35671100963_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-165_24674703738_o img_9924_36082747380_o img_0403_36082652700_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_31949828333_o gibraltar-recuerda-a-las-vctimas-de-los-ataques-de-pars_30946107156_o 2g9a5311_30845025542_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-102_22784234748_o 2g9a4589_30827333751_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-5_30280695653_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-66_9289024145_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_2985_21161487734_o 2015_09_14__0162_21397595266_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-05_19751281211_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-30_17968789076_o Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar. 2g9a8832_51681503903_o 7U3A9417
