Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 20150911_101454122_ios_22755665371_o default elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22696817144_o img_3376_34112845901_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-04_15013761304_o img_0523_22296010243_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-32_19720485978_o strongmen-201325_10019328873_o strongmen-201338_10019112414_o img_9650_21436980126_o 2g9a9769_50032155818_o 2g9a1105_48951599463_o gib-night-1_39633165281_o img_1166_36814004296_o gib-view-4_25761641128_o img_3078_40043452025_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-145_26771238589_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-14_31319336803_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026132951_o 2g9a5979_30970663882_o_31078855966_o img_3725_37163097255_o 2g9a5158_30925681146_o 2g9a4717_30827321101_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084911_o 2g9a7409_29720305742_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941941903_o 98049_28871949794_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-41 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-92 img_9567_25954040274_o The Gibraltar Music Festival 2g9a9349_27262518223_o img_2151_27703089695_o 2g9a2039_27170660251_o img_1402_24951485276_o img_2898_21772835652_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
