A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3326_34202601286_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-2_25088691765_o img_5185_34059140000_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-10_29360174011_o img_6804_34732166493_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742374873_o img_2641_44650721895_o Gibraltar - Preparations for Operation Sea Snake start at Eastern beach with tanks regiment-freedom-of-city-0245-bw_15253395837_o 2g9a0911_48806101396_o Mezquita-4 Punta-Europa-11 ragged-staff-2_27855465879_o 2g9a4497_48714307792_o img_0279-1_45106517334_o img_3017_40937853541_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-87_24674695948_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-104_26771251509_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_25021117687_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-137_37830963504_o 2g9a5750_32383635870_o 17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32368144955_o img_5157_29190831610_o img_3871_37020599311_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24124234641_o img_7886_23578624414_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-40bn_20616257084_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-38_20999465578_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 21-june-calentita-035_14479570944_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457533451_o img_1486_24884472501_o img_8780_24114117089_o img_8945_24481747095_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
