Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3719_34112970991_o foot-14_17683015455_o img_0548_44297154060_o img_4280_20486536373_o MM180007 img_5784_49086442546_o gorhams-cave-6_39633654371_o WP_20140508_016 2g9a4261_48230641536_o 2g9a6724_48204067811_o dscf7905_30729837268_o img_9296_29944470397_o img_3015_39128194910_o img_8082_42792485940_o img_5368_41421451025_o img_8670_26036948318_o img_1388_36849704982_o img_9494_35393029383_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-66_29605107235_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427342156_o 2g9a5873_31113484035_o_31001126961_o 2g9a5320_30961724465_o img_5291_29370424902_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-9_24847790221_o img_7856_24206820955_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-12_15357528872_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-03_15513094471_o img_2520_24723558759_o img_2618_24810736220_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457507611_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129264929_o img_2994_21596151730_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24414626171_o 2015_09_14__0108_20801225944_o 2015_09_14__0143_21236991159_o 2015_09_14__0169_21235752420_o 2015_09_14__0242_21235777948_o 2015_09_14__0243_21432041471_o 2015_09_14__0244_21432038461_o DE-I-A1 img_3735_20914736202_o 15-septiembre-2015-national-day-gibraltar_21325044731_o sacramento-covid-vaccine-1-jpeg_50887964407_o
