desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_44793075204_o img_8402_20076549382_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-15-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273843225_o el-telefrico-o-cablecar-es-la-forma-ms-cmoda-de-alcanzar-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22739206835_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar05_14801060947_o img_3792_34086386182_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-31_9225499336_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703084950_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival21_14277940020_o img_8765_19519007264_o img_9038_19518767224_o img_6750_35502324926_o 2013-300th-Anniversary-Treaty-of-Utrecht sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_25004392937_o jebel-sahara-5-el-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar-apunta-un-arma_22494994564_o Spitfire-75th-Anniversary henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201407_15624542462_o img_5858_49086445046_o img_9826_20847134253_o 7u3a5267_49336690486_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-33_37623772922_o 2g9a2112_48706248676_o 7u3a0134_50032693781_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131076236_o 2g9a0580_48919065958_o img_4114-1_30891438077_o img_3030_42792488050_o img_3187_40937384081_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-112_26771250729_o img_5330_41421440735_o img_0787_39737053385_o 08-may-2017-15visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34575527932_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-10_31299674934_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-29_31299668534_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-11_37148808055_o_36354891993_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-63_29605110545_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354095883_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318392882_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-12_15943264732_o The Gibraltar Music Festival gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24414609151_o 2g9a1597_26964556260_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno03_10967188486_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-53_9291892974_o Gibraltar celebrates 75 years since Evacuation gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4082_18001018982_o BP200031
