181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-8_12614283185_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-03_19467061064_o con-motivo-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-10-de-septiembre-todos-los-escaparates-de-gibraltar-se-visten-de-blanco-y-rojo_22119488683_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival16_15168468635_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242828801_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466796506_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach regiment-freedom-of-city-0118_15439633672_o img_9978_21468020655_o 2g9a4963_48875161982_o cervantes-09 2g9a0490_48801283466_o cervantes-12 entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-2_11213198355_o 2g9a9680_50032952897_o 7u3a9619_49901121817_o 7u3a5167_49336912537_o 7u3a5309_49336229273_o img_4542_48713813948_o img_5321_48919810757_o img_5373_48919072188_o img_4726_48714144931_o 2g9a8462_46581732872_o img_0181_31960313228_o cm-la-linea-panorama2_41421464965_o img_0807_39910043751_o img_8670_26036948318_o img_8961_38333087202_o_38310529476_o img_7187_34391520690_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-10_32010697211_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-9_29314687280_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-8_36750962720_o_37027017721_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318388382_o gibraltar-recuerda-a-las-vctimas-de-los-ataques-de-pars_30946107156_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-29_30243926413_o img_5073-copy_29401041431_o 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-4_25631995063_o img_7831_24180736056_o img_9104_26493991831_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129252349_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony. A short farewell ceremony at the Parliament lobby was followed by a quick farewell at the city Hall, defer he inspected troops at the Naval Base. He then boarded HMC Seeker where a 17 gun salute bid him farrwell. img_7648_21272475626_o Revista-a-tropas-del-Coronel-Simon-Dyson-junto-al-Conde-Wessex Gibraltar celebrates 75 years since Evacuation gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4082_18001018982_o BP200031 royal-gibraltar-police-sir-adrian-johns_48859907152_o
