This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_0014_43016080155_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703007570_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar17_10382652953_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-olly-murs_9699868435_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-11_17338528596_o img_8759_19519015994_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii91_21205962332_o img_6804_34732166493_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373783_o HMS-Forth-2 img_2711_45564864051_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976516635_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-12_14732690116_o Monos-54 WP_20140508_029 Mezquita-33 img_5336_48919602591_o img_4617_48714310607_o img_5348_48919810367_o 2g9a8412_46634161231_o img_0741_38822718450_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-6_38627529030_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-35_31562033671_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-22_37148806175_o_37027015521_o 2g9a5978_30746315560_o_31001131821_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168276155_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-12_30800438472_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-13_30280719723_o 89098_28871964064_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-19_30247382304_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-35 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29665527960_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_13981084349_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
