A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-21_19901704560_o img_0330_45202120175_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9699900669_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii84_21205979132_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_23858216994_o 2018-Calpe-House 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-14_25062335876_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-18_19563794762_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-8_29405665056_o 2g9a4262_48230655601_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-28_28386232519_o img_4989_48919806107_o Gibraltar - HMS Bulwark arrives for Amphibious Landing Exercise img_2411-2_30765502368_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-18_15832476453_o img_1420_36185587594_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-13_47644436502_o 24-04-2017-desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-de-los-royal-engineers-5_34113617351_o img_9355_31008101638_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-49_31992467502_o img_9496_29664841447_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-25_31562037021_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-91_37830946604_o 2g9a5742_32763866335_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074993_o 2g9a9193_29852396340_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978712946_o 2g9a5851_30746109900_o_31001127121_o img_2190_36326576034_o 2g9a5844_31113333995_o_31114930725_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-92_29524285681_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24797044212_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
