restauracin-cementerio-witham-14_25110018919_o 2g9a9405_48908089521_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. las-vistas-son-fantsticas-desde-la-estacin-del-telefrico-de-gibraltar_22551311940_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191926030_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. img_3356_34112847811_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22696886944_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-metro-motel_9703121380_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_6633_35502332656_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373823_o calle-cordoneros-1_38737184835_o jumpers-bastion-3_38924863084_o 2g9a2112_48706248676_o 2g9a2051_48706413462_o img_4594_23521820008_o 2g9a6815_48204069306_o img_1446_36832967296_o img_4614_48713815278_o img_7232_34776972075_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-12_32754310517_o 08-may-2017-12visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895405434_o img_8078_42790068550_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-53_32022592491_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-100_38515438782_o 17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32247954171_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391752_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-46_30846288462_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a7444_29720378422_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 105774_29388297642_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354051213_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221948704_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354077703_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_24866075293_o img_7870_23580018073_o 000-crowning-dsc_0237_19249139448_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_14144585126_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201449510_o img_3780_20736481668_o 1119-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20520684168_o gibraltar-national-day_003_9719780602_o gibraltar-national-day_037_9719726094_o Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar. el-ministro-de-cultura-y-deportes-steven-linares-3_14343350334_o
