nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28048087276_o restauracin-cementerio-witham-18_25477581305_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. gibraltar-en-el-cuarto-comit-de-la-onu_31336303638_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar08_14987256802_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-18_19468726353_o img_3374_34086335542_o 9703118074_a8a543bdc3_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26902336386_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-45_9222695543_o img_6796_34732167233_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii01_21028653408_o img_2602_45564830491_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_0702_20975985063_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_5815_49085937868_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-27_29360139141_o img_5864_49085940138_o 2-expo_frontera Punta-Europa-7 img_0172_29910432278_o st-michaels-cave-24_39603336122_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131095178_o dscf7903_30729837628_o img_4624_48713815138_o 7U3A2446 national-day-panorama1_48713810828_o img_2363_43726185795_o nova-twins-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-13_43972681745_o img_5377_41421453175_o img_8655_26036946918_o 2g9a5882_31113488015_o_31078853126_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-96_29524283771_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-52_30800410832_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29531205016_o img_5103_28855182574_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25881619100_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-9_24847790221_o fabin-picardo-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24124239201_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-90_20566205963_o 2g9a9761_27874079615_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17503106775_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387593305_o img_8797_24186268260_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day33_15014951778_o BP200031 BP200031
