This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-15_9225110432_o 2g9a9415_48908302612_o 2g9a9470_48908301567_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar22_14989721515_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9699889619_o img_0544_44297153600_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703080304_o asher-moodie-reino-unido-junto-a-bailarines-de-la-mediterranen-dance-school-y-dance-academy_14029857341_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-14_17176680148_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_7559_35347380670_o 2g9a8329_48875283977_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201411_15623758395_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-32_11213229685_o 2g9a0351_48801427392_o 7u3a9638_49901121607_o 62032-0-02 Monos-2 sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_25004218717_o Mezquita-33 sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876475721_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-13 2g9a0590_48919805177_o 2g9a4494_48714142106_o img_5390_48919603536_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_9143_37650297304_o_37651617874_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-38_31299665694_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782314_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-32_29605143365_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-98_25326897279_o 89098_28871964064_o 95056_29416774251_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679095645_o 2g9a9421_27839938386_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
