desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_45467564792_o cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22121850274_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-23_25110015769_o gibraltar-recibe-anualmente-ms-de-7-millones-de-turistas_22552336950_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525537922_o inmaculada-fotos-23112014-08_15471105014_o img_0431_45202144315_o steve-cline-reino-unido_14033017725_o img_0467_45202130835_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival16_14277969528_o Gibraltar - Albert Hammonds in Concert 7u3a5069_49336225053_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-11_29360171541_o 2g9a5380_48726175746_o 2g9a0970_48806101816_o dav sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095507129_o img_4064_45831068281_o 2g9a5965_48204653302_o img_4072_45831074981_o img_9284_44160655834_o img_9096_26589053319_o_26590182769_o img_4161_36329342594_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-28_31299668844_o img_2058_36213088883_o 2g9a9226_29852393150_o actividades-paralelas-al-open-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_32570313641_o 2g9a9241_29519582264_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-22_37148806175_o_37027015521_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-69_28979552354_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354098693_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-115_29494984942_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770640490_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-15_30843119206_o img_2094_37163087715_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275185400_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221949664_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26808903394_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-13bn_21228471602_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth02_14187850073_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387593305_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387591305_o img_8598_21329807171_o HMS-Pursuer BP200031 BP200031 GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
