monos-en-la-ciudad-21_9222307751_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-656_22717450346_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_4816_41863365531_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo_9699763301_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703043186_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival17_14463208112_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival49_15167960052_o img_8865_20141460565_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742374533_o img_5319_34402457706_o 7u3a6446_49454014038_o img_7566_34925361863_o MM180007 img_4708_44297315680_o 2g9a0224_48801280611_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-25_19285899124_o gibraltar-eslovaquia05_10967490536_o strongmen-201361_10019115043_o strongmen-201368_10019056373_o 2g9a2009_49048515383_o heritage141_24764840957_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-6 2g9a1813_48699321653_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131076886_o img_9098_26589042549_o_37651620764_o img_9599_35393034993_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318396162_o img_2199_36991632212_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-3_30962853065_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876090591_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876091511_o 2g9a7343_29540551170_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941934113_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-24_24645628020_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9157_26467815392_o img_2576_24810777700_o img_9161_26287256570_o img_5988_25704766040_o 2015_09_14__0192_21412841592_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno18_10967352243_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-08_20731707446_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day31_15178510186_o 3519-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20086097694_o 7U3A4831 BP200031 2g9a6467_51341975852_o 2g9a8751_51681501963_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-29
