A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_4803_41863362271_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival50_14981774447_o img_0279_45389528714_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii47_20593779324_o img_6796_34732167233_o img_6810_35154403690_o img_2683_44650695855_o 2014-Evacuation-2.00 2014-Evacuation-set sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976654525_o 2g9a0922_48805746128_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-04_9224808220_o 7u3a9968_50032088708_o 7u3a5085_49336224738_o 2g9a2063_49048524878_o Monos-21 img_4852-after_25762298068_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067946_o 7U3A2450 CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_5282_40516032900_o img_2444_40800634882_o 2g9a6117_30999771781_o_31001139001_o gibraltar-recuerda-a-las-vctimas-de-los-ataques-de-pars_30981598185_o img_3547_36982596533_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-1_30280726823_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-10_36750961530_o_37027017111_o 2g9a9318_29482389665_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133821_o 2g9a9359_29447961116_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-58 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24914998645_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201416_15789743306_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201449_15628563810_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_14165027562_o img_2236_27628293281_o img_2258_27628290401_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250775020_o 2015_09_14__0112_21237024079_o 2015_09_14__0170_21235750100_o 2015_09_14__0198_21412823342_o gibraltar-national-day_008_9716541253_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY BP200031 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-11
