cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22124499443_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-05_9222294267_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez29_12102115703_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0165-bw_15253259780_o Gibraltar - Albert Hammonds in Concert 2g9a4966_48874961001_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-08_14752522101_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16386698925_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-14_16264863008_o img_4280_20486536373_o 7u3a0129_50032953117_o 7u3a5779_49425818426_o P1080724 Sandy-Bay 2g9a4259_48230711192_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131101253_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131158117_o img_4899_48919805767_o img_4990_48919068038_o cof 7U3A2354 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-28_47697574381_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354051513_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391892_o img_2269_37020638801_o 2g9a5311_30845025542_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-55_29605119295_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484974911_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27383398746_o img_9496_26466767052_o 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-8_26142218492_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-03_19955921242_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a0319_26677643880_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-09_25249588469_o img_5957_26005304315_o img_2623_24988155492_o 2g9a0163_26951098325_o img_9161_26287256570_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-21_9289279733_o img_7628_21110905938_o 3919-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20086093954_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-26_17992034242_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day11_15014788719_o Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar HMS Albion and RFA Lyme Bay leave Gibraltar 029-copy_19689540804_o entrevista-fabian-picardo_9516461305_o
