Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-08_19468695443_o img_0372_45202128095_o img_4821_41863367941_o img_9345_42112036860_o img_9923_43872623862_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9699898675_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-32_9225457518_o EL-MIN2 Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_8911_19953318168_o img_5316_33634059563_o img_0690_21409275438_o jebel-sahara-6-el-tte-garca-white-saluda-al-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar_23091623056_o festival-literario-gibraltar04_10496967536_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-02_15447874899_o festival-literario-gibraltar23_10496838984_o 2g9a0326_48801281811_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-17_13967065239_o 2g9a0455_48801428847_o img_4209_20919792098_o Aerial view of the urban town centre population of Gibraltar.Photo by Cpl Scott Robertson RAFCommand Photographer British Forces Gibraltar img_5206_48919808592_o 2g9a0683_48919806872_o img_1746_43726062115_o img_1778_36605217100_o img_7185_34644900951_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-147_38547049871_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-16_31331051943_o img_0209_35644250144_o 2g9a6164_30746392100_o_31001127511_o img_2079_37163099455_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-1_30880607876_o img_5060-copy_28856391524_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-33 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26586105392_o img_2166_27424744370_o investidura-adolfo-canepa-como-nuevo-alcalde08_13581144345_o img_2940_24624557423_o 2015_09_14__0154_21412937502_o gibraltar-national-day_009_9716539867_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-01_9224811070_o img_7598_21272561166_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3664_17816648400_o 7U3A4824 Scouts-Condesa-de-Wessex-4 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-2 GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
