A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_141623495_ios_22743478605_o colas-frontera-diciembre05_12348629435_o skywalk-gibraltar-5-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548500_o img_3748_34112958801_o 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_29491607544_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-15_9225485712_o img_0398_44297006850_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-metro-motel_9703121380_o img_8936_19954784100_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26902335626_o 2015-Definitive-2015-Additional-Values regiment-freedom-of-city-0086-bw_15436769111_o Gibraltar - Preparations for Operation Sea Snake start at Eastern beach with tanks 2g9a0268_48800935258_o 11-expo_frontera strongmen-201304_10019468013_o 2g9a1129_48951599123_o 2g9a3992_49336914957_o img_4852-after_25762298068_o Mezquita-4 commonwealth-park-2_24765473227_o heritage175_27855261869_o img_4132-1_45106513894_o img_4719_48713815473_o 2g9a5407_30926509516_o img_9477_43969661765_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732682662_o img_9573_44881504251_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-66 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-179_26771240769_o miss-gibraltar-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578622244_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331789554_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-22_15357538742_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354070573_o 2g9a0163_26951098325_o img_5077_29372308402_o img_9228_25955130244_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries. Among the singers were Greeks, French, Israeli, Spanish, Irish and Gibraltarian singers, img_1452_24347196224_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470800596_o img_2918_21596382448_o 2015_09_14__0252_21412672542_o 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20699413762_o 1_7U3A4578 BP200031 HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar
