Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar 2g9a9880_48907832386_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. inmaculada-fotos-23112014-07_16093424945_o img_4863_41820468852_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez29_12102115703_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival41_14441282016_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25125381169_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho16_14125069468_o 7u3a9474_49597080448_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16360719866_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-14_24398432345_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-21_14150891072_o img_0821_21409366548_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente33_12249030785_o 2g9a0462_48801283976_o 7u3a5747_49426041977_o 7u3a5772_49426045407_o 2g9a8788_48826623881_o 7u3a5265_49336912967_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-23 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-18 2g9a4630_48713813788_o img_1707_36861710091_o img_1722_36605172860_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-43_31299664634_o img_8164_30729846708_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-18_28981312993_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-36_30880580326_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-16_30790963581_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959245905_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455744592_o img_5047_29372476972_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-03_21187341475_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-22_15357538742_o 2g9a9671_27839953626_o 2g9a1996_27170660591_o 2g9a0143_26856625502_o img_9050_26287199510_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920724123_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-59_9289071861_o 2015_09_14__0036_20802955443_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
