Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22745686735_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-745_22717729606_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191932770_o img_3756_33859322650_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-10cc_9703025762_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez25_12102129493_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival09_14464364185_o hospital-de-campaa_49726264608_o 2020-Europa-2020-‘Ancient-Postal-Routes proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_27712734848_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0097-bw_15416893166_o festival-literario-gibraltar07_10496942876_o 2012-Royal-Visit-of-TRH-The-Earl-Countess-of-Wessex entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-3_11213199744_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-10_12865021404_o 2g9a2530_49085934973_o img_5888_49086448426_o WP_20140508_033 img_2796_39633713371_o panorama_1-3_39603951672_o Southport-gates-4 2g9a4225_48230715982_o cof img_5244_48919072073_o 2g9a8393_46634162131_o img_0776_25762436127_o img_1793_36605215730_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-17_30846310952_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-137_37830963504_o 89098_28871964064_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 104145_29388299792_o el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 122253_29416810221_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221948144_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-57_20999241660_o 000-a-dsc_6083_18813941704_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-02_15171327257_o 2g9a0169_26882532751_o 2015_09_14__0146_21423857985_o anthony-claude-lewis-morillo-i-del-grupo-transfronterizo_21236053000_o img_8169_21111444359_o BP200031 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-53-Samantha-Sacramento-Ministra-de-Igualdad entrevista-fabian-picardo_9519248282_o
