Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_9919_43921161681_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-05_17364154921_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-24_16744256733_o 1953-Diseno-rechazado 7u3a9395_49597081558_o 2g9a0262_48800935283_o jebel-sahara-1-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-a-la-embajadora-del-reino-unido-en-marruecos_23091556746_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976516635_o 2g9a0864_48806100741_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-08_14752522101_o strongmen-201306_10019358915_o img_9589_41403092204_o 7u3a9599_49900813366_o 1_img_0111_29910409648_o 2g9a8783_48826624131_o img_5910_49086447936_o img_5372_48919601781_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-13_47644436502_o 2g9a8412_46634161231_o 2g9a8457_46581729092_o img_1166_36814004296_o img_1240_36830747522_o img_9102_38333470362_o_26590181719_o img_0485_36082691900_o img_0779_36082761860_o img_9878_36433411556_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026150951_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-48_22784255748_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168279395_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-52_30927257876_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168292165_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-40_20999463468_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-10_15354656291_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9405_27262516613_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_3282_27839988676_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_4438_25275626849_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
