Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar 2g9a9951_48908043047_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9970_48907838126_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival38_14463183572_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216916032_o img_9070_20134570582_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-06_9222653429_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii85_21216360865_o hospital-de-campaa_49726264493_o img_0510_22498866888_o img_2710_45564865711_o 2g9a4937_48875162547_o img_9705_21436870336_o img_5704_49085936553_o Monos-1 Alameda-4 P1080593 P1080725 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114462426_o cof img_5407_48919073503_o 7U3A2465 img_0682_26036922448_o 51_48203763676_o img_1518_36213021323_o img_0155_40383715590_o 2g9a5341_30873439931_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770651510_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-86_30927217716_o img_2137_36326681254_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-7_30800468372_o img_3705_37163105915_o 2g9a9666_29372757102_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834019805_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-17_19775579090_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-15_15918120356_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
