181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto la-marina-de-ocean-village-en-gibraltar_22726579022_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-346_22745126835_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar07_14803143458_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez33_12102483146_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival15_15168088912_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-38_9225468550_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival61_14981587539_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-48_9225471026_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-09_17364148411_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2017-50th-Anniversary-of-the-1967-Referendum img_9883_21280337668_o 2g9a0538_26246271154_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720880711_o 2g9a0433_48801282796_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho14_14292943716_o img_4301_20484970774_o 7u3a5747_49426041977_o img_9654_25762520248_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-19 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-8_32754310667_o img_0114_45106514274_o img_1499_29696600117_o img_2367_44585495712_o img_2393_29697126987_o img_9904_40383759540_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-8_40438424681_o img_8955_38363726131_o_38310547566_o img_8716_26036949768_o img_9188_38364315021_o_37651611454_o img_9217_38309484726_o_24494934938_o 2g9a5753_32383635430_o img_9512_35393028143_o 2g9a5856_31077416596_o_31001135681_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354052533_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-3_30843123226_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168271395_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239245_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876086661_o 2g9a7330_29750651211_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5960_19430186622_o 2g9a2937_27628294311_o img_8903_24373478692_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day40_15198462931_o Kingston-25 BP200031 7u3a1205_51681501678_o
