conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590500850_o 20150911_102103000_ios_22744394935_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-613_22754158721_o panormica-desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22750747331_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9699786729_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23217075342_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9703142988_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2013-Old-Gibraltar-Views-III 2018-Christmas cervantes-08 Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach img_0628_20974125064_o university-32_38925360984_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165282734_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-08_19720463148_o strongmen-201305_10019377226_o Monos-23 Monos-56 img_0227_43781202411_o Alameda-20 Alameda-23 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-19 2g9a5388_48726349857_o img_4064_45831068281_o img_2400-2_42825389200_o img_1799_36166464804_o img_7239_34614697802_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-155_38547045151_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-24_30280681823_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29332130004_o 2g9a7191_29207195533_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565280265_o 124296_29462632706_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26808901514_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-41_24310520824_o 000-a-dsc_6125_19436713985_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9650_27773227242_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-07_9289370235_o 2015_09_14__0071_21432403571_o 2015_09_14__0218_21432112991_o DE-I-A2 GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
