Manifestacion-por-una-frontera-humanitaria 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-45_26414903026_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-44_9222696757_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival06_14441411796_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466798246_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-37_29151486800_o 7u3a9345_49597829157_o img_5316_33634059563_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42178240204_o 2530EE1 portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-24_39267701115_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho14_14125083129_o 2g9a0869_48805745493_o 2g9a9855_50032694111_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_25004218717_o P1080694 img_9756_20841927133_o Southport-gates-6 visita-del-alcalde-de-la-lnea-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar_48954792917_o 2g9a6802_48204117387_o img_5235_48919070568_o img_5394_48919811482_o img_8057_44603356061_o img_0159_42144357202_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-19_32010696101_o img_0344_36479571025_o 2g9a5973_31113360585_o_31001126141_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-38_25327022789_o 2g9a7409_29720305742_o 2g9a9534_28856829724_o 116863_29496709125_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27222131833_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799753896_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25197189790_o joseph-garca-viceministro-principal-de-gibraltar-el-9-feb-2016-durante-un-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24914999045_o img_2695_25252187645_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_2922_21161882904_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_8116_21306514581_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201421_15628568160_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-09_17374685483_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201440_15814981632_o Kingston-33 flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201454_15628009588_o 2g9a8731_51681914979_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-9
