A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_151612083_ios_22122859563_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-321_22756374331_o img_0077_43872607512_o zenobia-venezuela-premio-especial_14033450914_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_15766682923_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201415_15438164710_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-29_13967046937_o 2g9a4912_48874962496_o strongmen-201305_10019377226_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-10_16426565646_o gibraltar-eslovaquia15_10967412605_o visita-del-alcalde-de-la-lnea-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar_48954792917_o 2g9a2576_49085939373_o img_1917_39633888391_o 2g9a4519_48714141276_o img_5158_48919069453_o img_1653_43726029775_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402220170_o img_9143_37650297304_o_37651617874_o img_4594_23521820008_o untitled_panorama6_36880160471_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-68_32141122185_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354045123_o img_0672_36082753300_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026144571_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026150951_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-8 17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32247954291_o a-dsc_0239_18816048023_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5812_19430245192_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-02_15515858552_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-18_15171281428_o 2g9a2887_27668842426_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361656626_o img_9007_24113055529_o img_9079_24454438786_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-68_9291788998_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-30_9289253693_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23870201383_o PRIYA-1 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20708699935_o 1_7U3A4589 img_2423_19690929873_o img_6438_20123764468_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-31
