181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto restauracin-cementerio-witham-11_25451427916_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. restauracin-cementerio-witham-14_25110018919_o restauracin-cementerio-witham-19_25477580875_o monos-en-la-ciudad-14_9225081728_o la-nube-de-levante-se-desliza-por-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_22118435473_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar25_14803170437_o img_3332_33432743093_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_48176_41820476192_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-15_9225485712_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_5323_34284299922_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576707690_o 2g9a0843_48806100901_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-12_24102817150_o 2535DB1 henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201414_15438166510_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-26_19382666908_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-12_14732690116_o strongmen-201349_10019090915_o img_4264_20485010034_o 7u3a9652_49900812971_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-12 P1080590 7U3A2458 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072316_o img_1670_43916345684_o 2g9a4636_48713813733_o img_1912_26967037278_o img_9526_42792483390_o img_5436_41600440874_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-114_38515437742_o img_1474_36213027573_o img_7306_34736949056_o img_0209_35644250144_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026146381_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-8_29314688490_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-27_30763271392_o 2g9a7210_29833208615_o 114245_29496711125_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27556018410_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-03_19955921242_o img_9145_26534049176_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_16884619043_o img_9169_26560144995_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201463920_o 2015_09_14__0274_21397276826_o
