This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3745_34086394672_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival13_15168096502_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576701720_o 2g9a2997_49094632342_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-17_29439875415_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-36_18948045914_o 7u3a6500_49454484666_o gibraltar-eslovaquia18_10967598334_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-25 Mezquita-3 dscf7781_44550419062_o 2g9a0672_48919595861_o img_1492_42824864110_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-11_32022616181_o img_0434_36479608435_o img_0507_36479615025_o img_9892_36311270832_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-5_34309883872_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770640000_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31093430130_o 2g9a6109_30999545231_o_30747657730_o 2g9a5329_25325834499_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-20_30846307522_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-19_30846363672_o 2g9a7220_29720286922_o 2g9a7475_29207276213_o img_5130_29399681391_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799738036_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26154508235_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-11_16035736079_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
