180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-23_25838051143_o el-moderno-desarrollo-urbanstico-de-ocean-village-con-el-hotel-flotante-sunborn_22726829852_o img_0029_19637114953_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-627_22121785923_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-693_22755041561_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-289_22124128323_o skywalk-gibraltar-8-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548130_o img_3998_15641861643_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival11_14981909888_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216912982_o img_9011_19954709400_o img_9359_28984554597_o img_9832_21441995306_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-10_24793072890_o 2g9a2940_49094630892_o 2g9a9519_50032088848_o wellington-front0439_39603680912_o img_3989_30891444647_o img_1544_29696560237_o img_1548_43725763105_o img_1556_42824867040_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-80_38490782636_o img_2335_26972678068_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074563_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32247951551_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026132951_o 2g9a5978_30746315560_o_31001131821_o 2g9a5224_22782890628_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-20_30927367416_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-32_25327025989_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-26_30247377544_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27758328281_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417178195_o img_9492_26466775492_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-34bn_21050814340_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-01_20564655864_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-10_27802395451_o 2g9a9440_27839936936_o 2g9a9671_27839953626_o img_3968_20437462994_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26114764180_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-52_21112775048_o img_4360_19916930614_o Desfile frente al Convento, sede del Gobernador THE EARL OF WESSEX VISITS HER MAJESTY’S NAVAL BASE 1_Incendio-en-tunel-de-Gibraltar-2
