This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 20150911_134012999_ios_22729827732_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar03_14800922989_o gibraltar-en-el-cuarto-comit-de-la-onu_30271420747_o img_9336_42112014130_o img_0509_32242283978_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez10_12101888315_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-metro-motel_9703123916_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival05_14981717367_o img_8842_20147064531_o img_9938_21281200969_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851358156_o img_4740_45202431925_o 2g9a0496_48800937273_o festival-literario-gibraltar19_10497051293_o img_1254_38925365554_o img_5169_48919069403_o img_4621_48714310532_o img_3965-1_45831050561_o img_9803_31008312038_o img_8655_26036946918_o 2g9a5370_22783253988_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239245_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29332130004_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565260475_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799753256_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
