160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños 2g9a9463_48908098101_o 7u3a9816_50033001782_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. monos-en-la-ciudad-16_9225082554_o default colas-frontera-diciembre04_12348633105_o cola-peatonal-salida-de-gibraltar-23072015-05_19937662186_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival09_14464364185_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242706421_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-99_29151376010_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-11_9222711385_o 7u3a9348_49597829132_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_25004424367_o jumpers-bastion-2_39633998981_o ragged-staff-2_27855465879_o 2g9a1745_48699322093_o img_7970_42792487680_o 7U3A2449 reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_38993310015_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-18_31980776932_o img_0507_36479615025_o img_0557_35671100963_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-14_29605156535_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-18_30874581751_o img_2290_36349046873_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959240175_o 2g9a7403_29833252185_o 2g9a9291_28860283793_o 116635_29496710085_o img_5156_28855007944_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-19_24914819406_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho15_14311136714_o 2g9a9750_27798184991_o 2g9a0236_26346423543_o img_9236_26534105336_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250763670_o PRIYA-1 img_8116_21306514581_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar19_11312492204_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981604208_o 7U3A4818 BP200031 2g9a8794_51680451367_o BP200031 7U3A9417 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-24 20220910_21-GUN-SALUTE_274
