The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5919_19250319129_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_13981087609_o img_2236_27628293281_o img_1377_24347212584_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-70_9291773504_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-42_20570005130_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno06_10967187646_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno23_10967350803_o img_8442_21321624625_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3844_18001038912_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-5 BP200031
