This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. skywalk-gibraltar-18-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273843035_o 20150911_101540463_ios_22121685854_o la-rotonda-del-reloj-de-sol-a-la-entrada-de-gibraltar_22117721214_o 2g9a9882_48907304088_o panormica-desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22725637412_o gibraltar-en-el-cuarto-comit-de-la-onu_45210241811_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival11_14981909888_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival17_14464412515_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival26_14277760389_o img_8911_19953318168_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii92_21224278111_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-81_29331731022_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720545113_o 2g9a0236_48801426377_o 2g9a0766_48806237177_o 7u3a5149_49336912697_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876449291_o Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-5 img_0409_10_11_tonemapped_24765389317_o 2g9a4220_48230716407_o img_0155_40383715590_o img_4564_23521821928_o img_9045_38309161416_o_38310543516_o 2g9a5834_32763867525_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134211_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-97_25326897959_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656124483_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27319188132_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
