A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. vista-area-de-las-colas-de-acceso-a-gibraltar_9460862160_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar25_14803170437_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-10_15881855402_o img_3999_16260927632_o img_9887_43872619252_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival47_14484679763_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii10_21190292666_o img_5317_34059171360_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-12_19908488815_o gibraltar-eslovaquia15_10967412605_o img_4204_20486612243_o img_9715_21436852836_o 7u3a5775_49426045167_o 2g9a8830_48826252508_o 2g9a1997_49049018131_o img_5864_49085940138_o Monos-16 WP_20140508_001 2g9a0570_48919597366_o img_0262-1_45106517114_o img_0304_45831074471_o img_2919_44603352141_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-41_31765981470_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-112_26771250729_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31093430740_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-165_24674703738_o 2g9a5187_30961477885_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-50_30828721161_o img_9605_25956046693_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25881618300_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-30_24847794541_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23580015023_o 2g9a9344_27798145511_o 2g9a9812_27262596603_o img_2098_27602496552_o 2015_09_14__0218_21432112991_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
