nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28048087276_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. restauracin-cementerio-witham-22_25359129142_o cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22556702970_o 20150911_133104714_ios_22120276374_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-11_9225437548_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-48_9225471026_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival52_15145305816_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions festival-literario-gibraltar16_10496870856_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 7u3a6498_49454484791_o 7u3a9633_49900298003_o img_2663_44650717615_o apes-1_38925510934_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-01_24372212306_o img_1917_39633888391_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201412_15624603862_o P1080674 Articulo-beligerante-publicado-en-el-periodico-venezolano-‘Ultimas-noticias.-Recorte-exhibido-en-‘Closure. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. salvas-celebrando-nacimiento-real-2_9351223769_o salvas-celebrando-nacimiento-real-3_9351223099_o 2g9a1996_27170660591_o 2g9a2024_26964556450_o img_8797_24186268260_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24388713882_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3833_17381654714_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day12_15178559496_o danny-ale9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14165525572_o 7U3A4792 img_6471_20512278666_o royal-gibraltar-police-2-sir-john-chapple_48859907047_o
