A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-78_22731990422_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar03_14731997187_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar30_14966723276_o img_4012_15641832123_o maik-las-palmas-espaa_14033020105_o img_9364_43016053315_o hospital-de-campaa_49726813996_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201404_15714587176_o img_9910_20845446764_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25877288835_o 2g9a0519_26578897780_o 2013-60-Years-of-the-first-Gibraltar-Queen-Elizabeth-II gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_006_12193593703_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-al-puerto-de-gibraltar-al-fondo-algeciras-via-moses-anahory_26293510828_o 2g9a1971_49048524188_o Alameda-21 P1080598 img_1515_44635096401_o 2g9a4206_48230719037_o 3-europort-avenue_23521830548_o 2g9a6690_48204068216_o 08-may-2017-17visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353151130_o img_9837_31008295968_o 08-may-2017-19visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895398434_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-80_38490782636_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-26_32141135125_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-154_24674708728_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-16_30243936153_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713046_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26074967863_o img_2196_36326670134_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26088168991_o 2g9a9486_29447206866_o a-dsc_5640_19430290332_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9671_27839953626_o img_9079_26560084455_o img_1365_24682305900_o img_1452_24347196224_o img_7624_21306911891_o img_8595_21133829060_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-31_17560635621_o 1_7U3A4616 Royal Marines Abseiling at RAF Gibraltar El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-28
