A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-19_25477580875_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival24_14277792370_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. colas-frontera-de-gibraltar-11-noviembre-20145_15578248689_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii28_21029684769_o img_0509_32242283978_o hospital-de-campaa_49726813996_o img_2651_44650721315_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0261_15438762735_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-19_26293511548_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976656755_o 2g9a2979_49094629462_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-11_14150905192_o 2g9a0431_48801428967_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-08_12864685853_o strongmen-201358_10018989234_o img_5739_49086443586_o img_9750_21274985270_o 7u3a5246_49336227303_o 2g9a8769_48826625741_o beaches-4_24765382307_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-4 P1080742 img_4016_45106525244_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114498643_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30623211394_o 2g9a5918_48204654527_o 2g9a5089_22782597398_o img_4699_48714145091_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-31_30282253144_o img_4742_48714311172_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275189760_o img_2984_30732455698_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-11_15171145230_o img_8110_30732455128_o 2g9a0319_26677643880_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17477853186_o img_2768_25252236485_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250766870_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25782767014_o img_1349_24977825325_o img_9059_24481617385_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-07_9289370235_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497014375_o 1519-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20708686735_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-13-medium_17807527388_o
