180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral 2g9a9882_48907304088_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590496000_o 7u3a9776_50032204973_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-11_9222297447_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar21_14803177867_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16193088359_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-09_9222660131_o Gibraltar - Albert Hammonds in Concert 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-42_29151475390_o img_6704_35154397060_o img_0696_21410178539_o img_0786_21605784301_o 2g9a0527_26757817882_o strongmen-201334_10019190525_o Southport-gates-3 2g9a4301_48230720497_o img_0181_29910429548_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131160582_o 2g9a4206_48230719037_o mde 2g9a6690_48204068216_o img_4187_31960329188_o rita-ora-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-124_43072436110_o img_1635_43726052185_o img_5314_40516047320_o img_5380_41421454735_o img_9111_38333450422_o_38310539896_o 08-may-2017-25visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895390984_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354095883_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-49_29495034912_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318390272_o 2g9a9381_29482308115_o 2g9a9450_28859444623_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565280515_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-58 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-29_24914826226_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201451_15193970223_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
