A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216999332_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703084950_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-23_9222675551_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival45_14463246224_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-14_25062335876_o 2014-Royal-Marines-350th-Anniversary 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-38_25088640615_o strongmen-201337_10019173926_o img_2663_44650717615_o 7u3a5223_49336694181_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-7_32175360210_o cruise-liners-12_39603827852_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-12_37623778832_o evacuation-monument-0477_39634005181_o taxi-3_38736801535_o img_5376_48919812207_o Aerial view of the urban town population of Gibraltar.Photo by Cpl Scott Robertson RAFCommand Photographer British Forces Gibraltar img_0189_28318281808_o 2g9a4630_48713813788_o img_9972_42190713191_o img_1801_36166463984_o img_3561_34196602626_o img_9600_44881495361_o 2g9a5782_31949657513_o img_3033_43693495555_o gibraltar-recuerda-a-las-vctimas-de-los-ataques-de-pars_22803059508_o img_9562_29664840937_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-66_30927248186_o img_8691_26036949498_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-30_22784336788_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354093493_o 2g9a9671_29372753262_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_31991159650_o 98463_29416768831_o img_5103_28855182574_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-65 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-23 festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17502077982_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5628_18814089064_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-07_15943268752_o 2g9a9864_27262419174_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387558175_o img_8808_24398165521_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-62_21300632845_o BP200031 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-6
