181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-273_22124148433_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar05_14915477871_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-30_9225459452_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9703088580_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-38_9225468550_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-43_28818218543_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_0690_21409275438_o img_2744_44650724035_o strongman-en-casemates_9997709236_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-28_37623774112_o ragged-staff-4_38736911545_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-31_37623773442_o img_5348_48919810367_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-1_15830022764_o img_1192_36830777852_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131093373_o img_1722_43726063965_o img_9660_29944609347_o img_7169_34776867605_o scounting-for-girls-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-21_44163868444_o img_9515_35361471644_o img_8155_42792485160_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318391892_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-33_25326942569_o img_3543_36982592303_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-22_30927364656_o img_9054_24493457188_o_26590185119_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941941903_o img_9492_26466775492_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-72_21161111856_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-07_19776880979_o a-dsc_5622_19250412239_o 2g9a9761_27874079615_o img_2739_25252282835_o 2015_09_14__0047_21397766536_o 2015_09_14__0253_21236696769_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-08_19559979129_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-03_17995946741_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3939_17977778096_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day18_15014990177_o 7u3a1219_51680449772_o 7u3a1275_51681244761_o GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute UK Minister leads European Election campaign for Liberals in Gibraltar
