A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22696908384_o img_3737_34086396972_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23325386415_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival36_14484691583_o img_0478_44297157290_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival38_14463183572_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_9070_20134570582_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862364464_o img_5301_33601839814_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868055371_o Alameda-26 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_32431794301_o img_5184_48919806377_o 7u3a9357_49597579716_o img_5201_48919808622_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-9_37623779262_o 2g9a9465_32197849172_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072866_o 2g9a9345_32228019181_o img_9795_44830682372_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-43_31299664634_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-25_36750956960_o_37027015081_o img_0507_36479615025_o img_2155_36973624536_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-90_30846261172_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29665542870_o 114033_29496712045_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679067535_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-32_21161142656_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
