manifestacin-por-una-frontera-humanitaria-08_12360012735_o restauracin-cementerio-witham-21_25181984520_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-49_26167984260_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-614_22716938396_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-08_15694990748_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-22_19468716553_o img_0370_44297010050_o img_9897_43921150091_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar04_10382458176_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699853385_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-08_17364151291_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-32_9225457518_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii37_21190222066_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24460201446_o img_6779_35502345266_o 7u3a9373_49597828977_o HMS-Forth-3 2014-50th-Anniversary-of-the-Red-Arrows 7u3a9638_49901121607_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201402_15002944724_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-17 superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-10_15448934790_o panorama-3_24765451327_o 2g9a0346_48801281511_o img_1179_36605141040_o 2g9a0680_48806238132_o img_1265_36861662631_o Articulo-beligerante-publicado-en-el-periodico-venezolano-‘Ultimas-noticias.-Recorte-exhibido-en-‘Closure. img_3204_40895454322_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-2_16265119990_o img_3344_40895441202_o 2g9a1161_48952142001_o img_9932_40383751850_o 2g9a4499_48714307747_o img_0647_36342297601_o img_9841_31008298238_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-66_29605107235_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a7210_29833208615_o 2g9a7246_29720276202_o 2g9a9500_28859399713_o The Gibraltar Music Festival Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
