turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-76_22756754281_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. los-macacos-de-berbera-smbolo-inequvoco-de-gibraltar_22118329403_o colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-2_12614309685_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar09_14987612455_o img_3323_34112854861_o img_9361_43921121661_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703010336_o img_0453_46063482552_o lema-qu-date-en-casa_49846839316_o 7u3a9444_49597828257_o 2016-Alameda-Gardens-200th-Anniversay The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-7bn_21238932625_o The Gibraltar Music Festival ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-11_15171145230_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-16_15171098699_o 2g9a9802_27773283782_o 2g9a2864_27090561494_o img_2107_27703070985_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25784830083_o img_9059_24481617385_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23870203443_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
