A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. con-motivo-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-10-de-septiembre-todos-los-escaparates-de-gibraltar-se-visten-de-blanco-y-rojo_22740626595_o ocean-village-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar-y-al-fondo-espaa_22714315336_o 2g9a9971_48907837826_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar24_14803111888_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. cola-salida-gibraltar-2511201407_15880512681_o img_3729_34086399222_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-22_9222677337_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-40_29151480040_o 7u3a9487_49597080288_o img_4702_46063765432_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-14_32513494886_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-18_32175361280_o Monos-44 2g9a0594_48919596876_o img_5131_48919069658_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-9_32141137715_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-31_32754312037_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31349011641_o img_9554_29664840977_o 2g9a5318_30926031856_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-102_22784234748_o img_9045_38309161416_o_38310543516_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-35_30843308786_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-13_24941101885_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24619511350_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24180732436_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-55_20566237693_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-90_20566205963_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-07_19776880979_o img_5988_25704766040_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_4485_25643166325_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17317127388_o img_2770_25133955662_o img_8778_24399482571_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24388721352_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-221_9716914757_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-76_21274346326_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar25_11312455226_o img_4478_20351990679_o BP200031 BP200031 Paul-Balban THE EARL OF WESSEX VISITS HER MAJESTY’S NAVAL BASE
