A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-01_15694998498_o img_3713_33402051354_o img_48176_41820476192_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival63_15145279956_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii91_21205962332_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25400099141_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-97_29151382540_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42848301502_o img_2641_44650721895_o img_9849_21441982666_o Ceremony of the Change of of Commander British Forces in Gibraltar.
