la-marina-de-ocean-village-en-gibraltar_22552229600_o 2g9a9360_48908092841_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-627_22121785923_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-34_9222686317_o img_8826_20147089721_o university-4_39633682981_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742371673_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-02_19720524430_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_32431794301_o img_4233_20919772648_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976574495_o 7u3a5215_49336911392_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-marcos-moreno-5_11213352993_o 7u3a5265_49336912967_o Trafalgar-7 Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-8 img_1919_39604045112_o Alameda-18 Punta-Europa-12 P1080717 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131157187_o 2g9a4631_48714309102_o img_2383_44585539982_o img_9281_44160659384_o img_0184_36082739060_o img_9834_44160804094_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-23_28979583374_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134071_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-47_30927342656_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026137131_o 102215_28871939194_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27758109451_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679100635_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-04_21161088496_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-15_16221239302_o img_9066_26467742682_o img_5978_25372636704_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129264549_o 2015_09_14__0133_20802807083_o 2015_09_14__0236_21423616825_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-68_21112536900_o img_7613_20676107514_o img_7759_20677520743_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-13-medium_17807527388_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-28_17807359728_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day36_15201135542_o img_4462_19916143974_o Fabian-Picardo-1
