A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 007_20231849456_o vistas-de-ocean-village-y-de-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_22713695086_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-12_17364489585_o img_8744_19519184754_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-1_25062358746_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_40689988115_o 2017-WWF-Bats-of-Gibraltar The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-88_21000519769_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening a-dsc_5836_19430235372_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201457_15193969043_o 2g9a9486_27839931766_o img_2767_24621603834_o img_2514_24973068372_o 2015_09_14__0059_21413079592_o 2015_09_14__0191_21236870879_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-44_21274399116_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-20_20571214569_o ga_2335_20124011318_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-39_20570007560_o 1719-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20520678668_o 1_7U3A4556 GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
