Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3420_34086342192_o 2015-Christmas-2015 2015-Post-Go img_9843_21476790441_o jebel-sahara-2-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-al-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar_22725318789_o 2540321 strongmen-201301_10019429296_o img_4209_20919792098_o Monos-19 img_9593_42077108322_o img_6423_24764942367_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-27 Monos-en-la-ciudad-34 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-15 gib-calling-panorama-5_48699831377_o img_5131_48919069658_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072866_o img_5382_48919074188_o img_2973_43693497895_o 7U3A2454 img_1034_36599992496_o img_8968_24493312918_o_38310546936_o img_9140_38364079431_o_24494939038_o img_9171_37650531664_o_37651613904_o img_9214_37650393834_o_38310530536_o 2g9a9349_32308849256_o 2g9a5877_30746104740_o_31001135171_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-12_30578376000_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275179410_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26586142392_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27799937876_o 0000-0a-dsc_6124_18815826793_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Calentita Night 2014 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9861_27596509520_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a0187_26882447291_o img_2619_24738668499_o 2g9a2151_27253039406_o 2g9a0332-2_26856506532_o img_9056_26287195250_o Kingston-38 1_7U3A4556 Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar.
