Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-664_22120681504_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299239466_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival14_14277902827_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival36_15168396625_o img_8857_20133439312_o img_2592_45564831661_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_26002538038_o gibraltar-estonia-marzo-2014-3_12956112173_o img_4175_21081543556_o 2g9a9815_50032156708_o 7u3a5713_49425346828_o 2g9a3958_49336225728_o 7u3a5260_49336913092_o american-war-memorial-7756_27855782349_o img_0653_38737101585_o shipping-3_38736511525_o 2g9a4610_48713812648_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-2_47644434832_o dscf7828_44600541071_o img_9786_44830686982_o img_5412_41600473144_o img_9447_42792484420_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-16_31331051943_o 2g9a5084_30659556820_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-84_30962796975_o 2g9a7389_29833263405_o 2g9a9484_29192798260_o img_5083_29480881705_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-62 Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening a-dsc_5319_19436635795_o a-dsc_5628_18814089064_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-20_15943923715_o 2g9a9783_27840003426_o img_2623_24988155492_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
