A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9703130258_o foot-01_17495553878_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_8990_19521761183_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii87_21216356285_o img_5304_33601839324_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_27712734998_o 2g9a3014_49093921823_o img_4715_44297337580_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-12_12864666923_o img_0068_41972485330_o img_9646_21463206585_o 1_img_0091_43733181102_o img_5848_49085936943_o main-street-0436_24765665127_o police-1_39604052952_o img_5365_48919809932_o img_0268_45831069391_o img_3934_45831067251_o 7U3A2434 img_8124_44553068722_o img_8961_38333087202_o_38310529476_o img_9494_42792483810_o 2g9a9193_29852396340_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168263075_o 2g9a5890_30999687491_o_31001126801_o img_2175_36326674674_o 2g9a5892_30746096590_o_31114930125_o img_2238_36326659764_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-29_30282254884_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-2_30843124176_o 112311_28871992114_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732684382_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-18 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-25_24645626450_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-29_21000568529_o a-dsc_0239_18816048023_o 2g9a0107_26346530663_o gibraltar-national-day_037_9719726094_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470801436_o 7u3a6928_51342923593_o 7u3a1258_51682129730_o Vijay-Daryanani-2 Main-Street-Condes-de-Wessex-en-su-paseo-por-la-Calle-Real-1 GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
