This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-8_12614283185_o img_3759_34086391282_o img_0082_43872604072_o img_9942_43202781834_o notre-dame-1_44296998490_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar01_10382461576_o img_8806_20133531022_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-36_25062308206_o 2019-Christmas-2019-Carols 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373233_o img_9889_21476750671_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201437_15623712505_o 7u3a5267_49336690486_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-19 2g9a2172_48706414522_o img_9648_44160821024_o img_4587_23521820738_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134081_o 2g9a9226_29852393150_o 2g9a9504_28859395343_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275177750_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484972351_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26154508205_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27141400260_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-33_20999260760_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
