A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3771_34086389242_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival45_14277886219_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii72_21224326371_o james-foot-en-la-galera-de-bellas-artes-de-gibraltar_17494996908_o 2015-Gibraltar-Fire-Rescue-Service-150th-Anniversary henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201410_15437638868_o img_4203_21276167750_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201413_15621091421_o img_4282_20920810299_o 2g9a0943_48806102256_o evacuation-monument-0479_24765699637_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-marcos-moreno-5_11213352993_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131099058_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067056_o img_5307_48919812357_o 2g9a6824_48204161127_o img_1908_26967038948_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-10_47644435142_o img_9113_26588989799_o_24494933608_o img_9596_31008268158_o 2g9a9442_31537101713_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_9515_35361471644_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-68_29605106195_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-1_30880607876_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-37_30282249254_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-38_30282248684_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-39_30615616700_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876086661_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087291_o 2g9a9435_29481558725_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-56 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25125251449_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. el-rabino-principal-de-la-comunidad-hebrea-de-la-commonwealth-ephraim-mirvis-en-main-street_18638910712_o gibraltar-national-day_014_9719764112_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17316434418_o img_8099_20677298153_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-23_20135356464_o img_8158_20677235233_o Gibraltar celebrates 75 years since Evacuation 10-septiembre-2014-national-day36_15201135542_o Scouts-Condesa-de-Wessex-2 Regimiento Real de Gibraltar
