restauracin-cementerio-witham-29_25477575695_o la-entrada-al-cementerio-de-trafalgar-de-gibraltar_22119062523_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9410_48908088651_o la-nube-de-levante-se-desliza-por-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_22551395120_o img_0021_43016077295_o 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-9_37398297800_o foot-03_17680853852_o img_8806_20133531022_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862359554_o hospital-de-campaa_49726813671_o 2g9a0729_48806099816_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16385772562_o img_4112_20921044479_o img_4174_20919859978_o 2g9a2547_49086661332_o commonwealth-park-2_24765473227_o img_4492_48713814178_o 2g9a8364_46581736532_o img_1818_36605198200_o img_2370_43916503144_o img_9217_38309484726_o_24494934938_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32217922802_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-17_30801727314_o 2g9a5878_30746419350_o_31114930345_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026149261_o gibraltar-recuerda-a-las-vctimas-de-los-ataques-de-pars_30946107156_o 99163_28874463453_o img_9529_26492984791_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24888687076_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-40_20999463468_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-18_19775576910_o a-dsc_5834_19248948670_o investidura-adolfo-canepa-como-nuevo-alcalde11_13581187835_o 2g9a9440_27839936936_o img_3308_27839984676_o 2g9a2133_26635255174_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-02_24990424953_o img_2710_24625380783_o 2015_09_14__0073_21397728526_o 2015_09_14__0234_20802553913_o Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
