181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_27801582400_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-53_26440816895_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525502002_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar25_14803170437_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_3336_33432741983_o img_0293_45202121665_o img_0506_32242283468_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-19_16744261133_o img_0562_45389676644_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374456202_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_23858216994_o img_2638_44650697605_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_32513356486_o 2g9a0262_48800935283_o img_4745_45202432445_o Gibraltar-Barbary-Macaques 2g9a0955_48806239942_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-06_14755368792_o 2g9a1068_48952340562_o 7u3a5716_49425815876_o Trafalgar-2 Monos-41 alameda-gardens-14_38737340825_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-26_33820114238_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-125_37830945784_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275188980_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36996841542_o 110183_29207859940_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-5_30280724363_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26062050662_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27222309343_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-11_21187333395_o a-dsc_5224_18816029363_o img_5958_25372598094_o rueda-de-prensa-de-fabin-picardo-y-joseph-garca-en-bruselas_27187074176_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321379471_o 2015_09_14__0274_21397276826_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-15_9222045653_o 4319-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20699422712_o img_0050_20285771346_o Royal Marines Abseiling at RAF Gibraltar 7u3a6928_51342923593_o BP200031 entrevista-fabian-picardo_9519248282_o medio-ambiente-3_48859907177_o
