Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. default el-telefrico-o-cablecar-es-la-forma-ms-cmoda-de-alcanzar-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22118256143_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 colas-frontera-2-abril-2014-infogibraltar-fotgrafo-marcos-moreno_13598811374_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-06_15262858513_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-25_24793053580_o img_5277_34402476636_o img_5341_34402437506_o img_7563_35347380300_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870672261_o img_7566_34925361863_o img_2697_44839795554_o img_0738_21597048415_o strongmen-201336_10019260593_o 7u3a5714_49425346503_o 2g9a1964_49048524558_o img_4799after_38737173265_o P1080679 img_5348_48919810367_o img_4722_48713815438_o img_1186_36605138130_o img_9284_44160655834_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-30_31299668154_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-173_24674702058_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-102_29494991242_o img_8787_38334299842_o 2g9a5954_30746414200_o_31114929025_o 2g9a6026_31113411585_o_31001130521_o 2g9a6140_30746213010_o_31001127711_o 2g9a5089_22782597398_o 2g9a4504_30280745244_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-30_30790808191_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-36_30578365940_o 2g9a9373_28860191403_o 2g9a9448_29481547975_o 127396_29416793531_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-31 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24206823655_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-65bn_21246905561_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-84_21177028552_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-87_21000520629_o a-dsc_5450_18814138884_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-08_15171270088_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
