This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_45467657202_o 20150911_101420827_ios_22718451826_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-607_22555056540_o monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-10_9222298453_o monos-en-la-ciudad-14_9225081728_o la-nube-de-levante-se-desliza-por-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_22551395120_o img_3985_16075954277_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-10_19468690063_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242601371_o img_3754_33859323530_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23325170155_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo_9702997286_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar22_10382482766_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo-y-esposa_9702998708_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival06_14441411796_o img_8782_20141620695_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-97_29151382540_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-11_14755684515_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201434_15438130570_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente30_12249212783_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-07_15448394878_o img_5729_49086443961_o img_0800_20974446364_o 7u3a5837_49425819901_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165288544_o img_0235_45106526034_o img_4612_48713815313_o img_1544_29696560237_o nova-twins-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-119_44833876382_o img_3195_40895455172_o img_8018_42792486900_o img_4602_23521819188_o img_8211_30729846318_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-16_29605155335_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-47_29495035972_o 2g9a5146_30659658640_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845560342_o 2g9a9376_29482310525_o 2g9a9771_29401383931_o img_5165_28857223163_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
