Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3759_34086391282_o charo-lpez-la-lnea-de-la-concepcin-espaa-segundo-premio_14033456174_o img_5326_34443972735_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_23858216994_o img_9925_21441911786_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720545138_o 2g9a4937_48875162547_o 2g9a0944_48805744238_o strongmen-201304_10019468013_o strongman-en-casemates_9997643875_o img_4133_20841544324_o img_9656_21436959856_o 7u3a9609_49901121847_o img_0241_29910447648_o jews-gate-cemetery-0492_39603829062_o img_5717_49085936068_o P1080671 2g9a2059_49049025331_o Mezquita-2 P1080740 wellington-front0442_27855615469_o 2g9a2126_48706415807_o img_1478_44635115891_o img_1767_30765338848_o img_0194_42190665551_o actividades-paralelas-al-open-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_31880164913_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-33_31562034291_o img_9510_35361473394_o 2g9a5243_30925820726_o 2g9a4600_30827333101_o img_3705_37163105915_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959235605_o 2g9a7424_29205977474_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221948444_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679118675_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417185485_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24888688136_o joseph-garca-viceministro-principal-de-gibraltar-el-9-feb-2016-durante-un-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24914999045_o a-dsc_5672_19249001378_o 2919-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682426726_o img_8036_21272212626_o Kingston-39 7U3A4838 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-6
