Vistas de Gibraltar 181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-16_9222332543_o 7u3a9824_50032742591_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-7-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548320_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar15_10382450554_o 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-6_23803453418_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9703142988_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival36_14484691583_o 2014-Shakespeare-450th-Anniversary img_2700_44839794484_o frontier-0428_25762635998_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843332272_o Mezquita-7 Punta-Europa-14 Punta-Europa-22 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131076236_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-44_31531497702_o 2g9a4669_48714142816_o img_9465_36197424905_o img_9500_31008242798_o img_0781_35671157743_o img_2309_43916529934_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-34_29605141075_o img_1362_36849710882_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-72_29495008862_o img_2307_37163012995_o 2g9a5319_30961716145_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-89_30962795485_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-34_30927353336_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-31_30879399355_o 2g9a9300_29373770072_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845560342_o 2g9a9368_29373700552_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-36_24573490199_o 2g9a9668_27773283072_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9681_27596416970_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_2874_25251837695_o 2g9a1597_26964556260_o 2015_09_14__0125_21432333531_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-38_21300669955_o img_7867_21287916772_o 1_7U3A4648 30 BP200031
