conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40401054291_o bunkering-_9225010784_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_4830_41863370871_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9699889619_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii85_21216360865_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-68_28815977444_o img_0817_21409167420_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho13_14336288843_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-13_37623778612_o Trafalgar-6 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-34_37623772632_o Alameda-11 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131074511_o img_5363_48919810047_o 2g9a0584_48919805282_o img_1720_36861706051_o national-day-panorama1_48713810828_o dscf7879_43693487205_o img_3059_26064770307_o img_0672_36082753300_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-5_30243942683_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-187_37830948284_o 2g9a9590_29192652010_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-11_38627528670_o 2g9a9846_27773274752_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-114_29314611790_o 2g9a2024_26964556450_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_4501_25550453521_o img_2952_24624530393_o 2g9a0155_26856598152_o img_7867_21287916772_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457502411_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar11_11312422015_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-32_9289242295_o 32.3-2021 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3835_17381653714_o 2g9a8759_51680448787_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3977_17383712473_o 2g9a8768_51681501793_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981600098_o 7U3A9423 Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron with four boats at sea.
