20150911_101540463_ios_22121685854_o 2g9a9315_48908094571_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3989_16074275028_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival28_14464548165_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival40_14277773730_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374456202_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576709710_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42178229764_o img_2623_44650699515_o 2013-HRH-Prince-George-of-Cambridge 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-09_24398435405_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0118_15439633672_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201438_15623711075_o 2g9a8311_48875283537_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-35_37623772192_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente09_12249076335_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-00_9224806444_o Punta-Europa-24 Punta-Europa-29 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067266_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_42163382082_o img_2356_39948489645_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-86_38490782236_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-28_32090610726_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-20_38627527470_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026137331_o img_0458_36342184891_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-80_30962798645_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27799936156_o img_9500_26533095916_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25551863003_o miss-gibraltar-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578622244_o 000-crowning-dsc_6134_18814191134_o a-dsc_5960_19430186622_o 2g9a9654_27596418190_o 2g9a2150_27253040596_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250731300_o 8-de-marzo-2016-reunin-de-fabin-picardo-con-miembros-del-psoe-04_25498506532_o img_2598_24988189332_o img_9001_24481628145_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129265529_o img_7714_21298677725_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day13_15201200292_o Los-Condes-saludan-en-presencia-del-Gobernador BP200031 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-43 BP200031
