This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. en-su-da-la-entrada-a-gibraltar-se-haca-por-esta-angosta-puerta-defendida-por-un-puente-colgante_22552556710_o 2g9a9854_48908037822_o Schoolchildren and parents were made to wait to cross the road on the Gibraltar side over 20-30 minutes at a time as Spanish border controls forced the authorities in Gibraltar to implement traffic controls. The delays were caused by The Policia Nacional holding pedestrian back from crossing to their Customs zone. jason-cruz_14224975050_o img_0494_32242282518_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-gabrielle-aplin_9699744383_o 2014-Evacuation-2.00 img_9930_21457133092_o 2g9a0849_48806238492_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-23_13967053317_o gibraltar-eslovaquia12_10967499646_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-34 visita-del-alcalde-de-la-lnea-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar_48954792917_o 2g9a5903_48204606631_o cof 2g9a8361_46581736712_o img_0122_45831060651_o img_9594_36197410725_o img_8743_25038458137_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_31949827953_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-13_37148807645_o_37027016821_o 2g9a5878_30746419350_o_31114930345_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-48_22784255748_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-84_30962796975_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941936233_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26073157754_o untitled_panorama1-copy_29478978855_o a-dsc_5630_19410505826_o joseph-garca-viceministro-principal-de-gibraltar-el-9-feb-2016-durante-un-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24914999045_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-15_15918120356_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
